This is the predictions for 2025 December 19 onwards. This is actually more for 2026 January predictions which is pushed forward to December due to the late new moon date. For predictions before 2025 December 19, please refer to last month’s predictions.
The new moon being set together with Mars in Mula nakshatra (lunar mansion) does reveal a veil of shattering effects. Due to its powerful dissolution ability, material events are generally not as good. It does provide ample help to contemplation, meditation, and researching matters. There can be a tendency to get to the bottom of things, and it favours investigations and research in any areas of life that is of interest to the person. People just have to get to the root of a subject.
Luckily, the new moon also pairs up with Jupiter opposition, Saturn’s aspect, Ketu’s aspect, and from December 29 even Mercury and Venus join in the fun in Sagittarius. These planets alleviate some level of difficulties set off by the new moon. They also massively augment the energy Sagittarius. Almost all the planets are touching on Sagittarius in January. This is huge!
It’s a little wary on December 23 when Venus sets off the new moon effects so it’s not advisable to plan anything big on this day. However, as the holiday season progresses to December 30, it is a rather joyous New Year’s Eve.
On 2026 January 7, Venus and Mars are exactly conjunct at Sagittarius 23:56 where Sun is also conjunct at the same degree. On 2026 January 9, Venus in Sagittarius also opposes retrograding Jupiter at Gemini 25:58 exactly, while Mars and Sun are conjunct with Venus at Sagittarius exactly too. Even Saturn is aspecting Sagittarius at a wider degree and Mercury is in the middle of Sagittarius. Saturn is also mutual aspecting Mars which gives a sprinting and braking syndrome.
Any natal planets at Gemini 24-26 and Sagittarius 24-26 are experiencing huge events in early January with an orb of about 7 degrees. Gemini and Sagittarius late degrees are greatly activated. Since the new moon is set in Sagittarius, the emphasis will be much stronger in the sign of Sagittarius.
Jupiter is now back into Gemini and it will stay here for at least the first half of the year and it will remain in trine with Rahu in Aquarius now. The airy signs of Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius are back into business. There may have been some sentiments that were built up before December and emotions were high. Now the lively spirit is back and there is rejoice in the world. Being non-judgemental and unbiased will lead to a happier life and better connections can be made in the world as well as on individual level. Aries

Taurus
You are running into big surprises this December. Whether it is good or bad depends on your individual life. Some of you may run into big crisis that will give you a shock of your life. A rare few might strike the lottery or run into some unearned wealth. There can be a great indulgence or infatuation in a certain area of life. To prevent yourself from getting hurt, moderation of some sort is safer generally. Career, family, and wealth aspects are generally better than other areas of life.
Gemini
This is a relationship period. Some of you may have even planned for a wedding near the end of the year and here it is happening. New relationship may start for the singles as the relationship area is very inflated to a rare occurrence. Businesses are booming incredibly. Your relationship is strikingly hot in early January.
Cancer
When the problems come back to haunt you, don’t run away. You have the opportunity to find out the root cause of the issue this month, whether it be related to your health or work or something else. Once you know the problem, at least you are aware. This month allows you to fight back against your obstacles that have beset you for quite a while.
Leo
If you have been facing serious mental issues, there are solutions to your problems. Look to the clues and find out the root cause of your problems. You can root out the weed hanging on tightly to you. Children is a strong theme now. Some of you can be expecting a child. If you have children, they can experience too many things happening at the same time and they can be overwhelmed. Romance is a strong theme in early January.
Virgo
If you have been looking for a house and there wasn’t any luck, look again. If you are looking to sell your house, that too has great opportunities this month. This month has great chances of different house deals and even for many months ahead. You might want to look around for any leakages or broken tiles somewhere. Some parts of your house may need fixing. Leaving things broken for a long time doesn’t bring good luck to you at home.
Libra
One of the solutions to most problems is communications. Make sure to rein in harsh words and concentrate on expressing yourself well to build important networks. Problems with siblings and travel can be temporarily discouraging but you are able to resolve these things easily. You have strong willpower to overcome any problems that you have including health issues. There are strong chances of traveling.
Scorpio
There can be some problems with your family and it might disrupt your career for a while. If your career is disrupted, naturally your wealth may take a dive and your income suffers for a while. You are interested in resolving issues and taking care of your family. You are also more focused on your wealth issues this month and deal with the financial instability. There can be great changes in your resources.
Sagittarius
Things are looking great again when the planets are treating you nice again. Almost everything is smooth-sailing this month especially starting from January in the New Year. You can sleep soundly in December before the world pulls you back with so many tasks you would not be able to rest in January. You are getting a lot of attention and they all require you to be available.
Capricorn
You may have difficulty sleeping when your subconscious is so alert and overactive. You may experience some symptoms of ADHD due to insufficient sleep and hyperactivity. It can also be due to losses of some kind that prevents you from progressing forward. Your career might send you on some business trips that you feel disconnected.
Aquarius
Romance can bring in new meanings and satisfaction to your life. Your children or a new born baby also fulfill a certain destiny in your life. There is something getting satisfied and fulfilled materially this month but it gives some sort of tension over your finances. You can be aggressive over your wealth and assets.
Pisces
In the coming New Year, you are being brought up to the spotlight on the very first month of the year. There can be more work and you may not jumpstart on the pile of work all at once, but you shall have the influence in your profession. Your home however is still your priority probably because it’s a new residence to adjust to.
