This January new moon falls on January 5 in the sign of Sagittarius, in the nakshatra (lunar mansion) of Purva Ashadha at Sagittarius 21:17. This is a solar eclipse but the new moon falls on a different house with the moon node Ketu (South Node of the Moon). Ketu will be in the sign of Capricorn when the solar eclipse happens. It is conjunct Saturn and Mercury in Sagittarius with Saturn being in the same nakshatra. Some serious work needs to be done and you can find the concentration to put your mind to do it. Results will show but not immediately. There is a parivartana yoga between Jupiter and Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Pisces, and both positions are aspected by Rahu (North Node of the Moon) in Cancer. There will be lots of love and compassion all around and relationship will glitter brightly. With Rahu and Jupiter joining in the combination, this lovely energy is humongous and nothing can stop it.
The nakshatra Purva Ashadha signifies the invincible star and any work that is done has a big influence to the masses as it reaches out to the hearts of the people. It’s symbol is a fan which spreads and expands on its influence. Purva Ashadha has the power to influence and gives fame. It is ruled by the deity Apas which controls the cosmic waters and spread itself to all directions. The work to be done are gained from flashes of insights. In the sign of Sagittarius, a philosophical approach with a touch of purification can benefit the result. This nakshatra is ruled by Venus and Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter. The dispositor will go to Jupiter and Venus in the Scorpio sign. Anything churned up by Saturn and Mercury in this new moon is going to be expanded widely to all concerned in the related field.
Buckle up your seatbeats. There are 3 solar eclipses this year and this is only the beginning. This is just a partial solar eclipse over East Asia. The second total solar eclipse in July will hit South America. The last eclipse in December will hit East Europe, Asia, and West Australia. A wave originates from the middle of the ocean will ripple down to all the shorelines. This is just the beginning of a new global trend. The biggie solar eclipse will be in December. Any countries with a Sagittarius Ascendant or with important natal planets in Sagittarius are going to be hit the most. This includes America. Let’s embrace ourselves through the December storm for we have to rebuild it in year 2020.

There are quite a number of disruptions in your life now, especially this week. There could be some underlying passions to uncover for you as you delve deeper. Venus just entered the 7th house where Jupiter is staying here for a year, and aspected by Rahu. This is a month of relationship. This is the manifestation of a relationship. Finally it is your turn. Spending time with your spouse this month is very advantageous.
Gemini
Your relationship needs some effort and you might be able to concentrate on that this month. You are at ease with your work but it is piling up. You are concentrating to earn a living and provide for the family but all these effort is taking you away from your spouse’s attention. Since it is a working period for you, you might have to sacrifice the time. Make it known to your spouse and make sure he/she understands.
Cancer
You are really concentrating on all your work but you are working out yourself so much that you need to take breaks in between. Get around and see how your children are doing. They would welcome you anytime. Creative efforts in arts, music, and writing are all very blessed within this month. Take your creativity intensity to the next level.
Leo
This month keeps you really busy when you are trying to concentrate on which stocks to buy. You begin to divert your investment to another portfolio. Home affairs are at ease but you find it so comfortable at home that you refuse to go anywhere else. Any home or vehicle purchase promises great satisfaction.
Virgo
Your mother requires your attention this month. Check up on what she has been up to. You are concentrating on that master degree of yours that you can’t find time for anything else except for your studies. You are thinking of shifting your house but you aren’t quite sure yet. Some short trips are going to be pleasant. Siblings relationship are very cordial and smooth.
Libra
Discipline and perseverance is needed this month to get that education done to advance your career. It is time to hit that sales threshold that you set. You might want to pen down your journal on what has happened. This piece of information is going to help to you few months later.
Scorpio
This is a major changeover of your life. If you have found your life partner, this could be the month to get married. In fact, this month is just perfect for you to hold your wedding ceremony. It is no doubt going to cause you a hole in the pocket but you are already prepared for it. Luck is with you but you do have to watch out for your stable income.
Sagittarius
You are having great ease in your seclusion. Find some time to go to the cinema or some other forms of entertainment. De-stressing yourself is what you need to do because your life is making some realistic changeover for many months. Those changes come in when you least expect it and you were not prepared for it. Go for a holiday and take a temporary escape from all the stress back home.
Capricorn
No matter how much you wanted to get away from the world, people just seems to find you for any other reason. But that is because you are becoming more popular and your attendance is much appreciated in your organization. Your dreams and sleep gets disturbed but this month seems to be doing better.
Aquarius
Working in the office seems like munching down a burger. You get your things done at half the effort and yet everyone is looking up to you. You have to drop your personal aspirations for a while due to all the attention given to you at work this month.
Pisces
You have to face some serious issues at work and you get to concentrate on the root cause this month. Spiritual studies and religious devotion comes at great ease as you understand the scriptures meaning. Distance traveling out of the country appears very luxurious to you and you will be happy anywhere you land yourself on.
